Vehicle Sale

Richland City Council will approve the sale of used police vehicles at their Oct. 3, 6 pm meeting at Richland City Hall. A 2017 Ford Interceptor SUV has an estimated value of $8,500. A full list of available cars and SUVs is available in the city council packet on page 138.

Tax-exempt zone

In other city business, the zone eligible for local property tax exemption, the Targeted Urban Area, will be expanded to include the Northwest Advanced Clean Energy Park (formerly the North Horn Rapids Industrial Park).

Safe routes to school study

In response to parents’ concerns, the city of Richland and the Richland School District will jointly fund a plan for improving the safety for children walking and/or bicycling to school. The city and the school district will equally contribute to the $100,000 cost of the study, pg. 72.

Another male appointed to the Richland Utility Advisory Committee

Except for a few brief periods in the last few years, this committee has consisted almost exclusively of retired men.

The groups meets at 3 pm every odd month at Richland City Hall.
